An Otoacoustic Emission Test (OAE) finds out how well your inner ear or cochlea works. An Otoacoustic Emission is a sound that generates from the inner ear.

During an OAE test, the doctor places a small earphone or probe in the ear. The probe puts sounds in your ear and measures the sounds that come back.

You do not need to do or say anything during the test.

The OAE test is often part of a newborn hearing screening program.

With roHealth, you get access to Otoacoustic Emission Tests and other health benefits at affordable rates.
