Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) enables the doctor to examine the pancreatic and bile ducts.

The doctor places an endoscope through the mouth and into the stomach and the duodenum.

ERCP is also done to:

  • Diagnose conditions of the pancreas and bile ducts and is also used to treat those conditions
  • Evaluate symptoms suggestive of disease in these organs
  • Further, clarify abnormal results from blood tests or imaging tests such as ultrasound or CT scan

The most common reasons to perform an ERCP include:

  • Abdominal pain
  • Weight loss
  • Jaundice
  • An ultrasound scan showing stones in the organs

With roHealth, you have access to an ERCP procedure and even more health benefits.
